Ice Cream Parlour

Children

Game rules

You're behind the counter. The customer asks for an ice cream and points out what should go in it. There's nothing to win and nothing to lose - you can always try again.

How to play

  1. Turn your phone a quarter turn. The parlour is wider than it is tall; in landscape mode you can see all the shelves and the machine.
  2. Look at what the customer asks for. The order is shown at the bottom of the counter: one, two or more tubs.
  3. Find the matching tubs on the shelf. They look exactly the same. Tap them and they fall into the machine.
  4. Pull the lever - or press the button with the cone on it. The machine shakes and an ice cream comes out.
  5. She eats it. Is it right? Then she's happy and you move on to the next level automatically.

Fifty levels

It builds up very gently: twelve levels with one tub, then twelve with two, twelve with three, nine with four and five with five. You can see which level you're on in the top right. Anything you've already put in the machine gets a green tick straight away, so you don't need to remember anything.

Good to know

  • There's no score and no timer.
  • You can't do anything wrong. If something other than what was asked for is in there, the customer points at what she wanted again. The blue button empties the machine.
  • There are twenty flavours: fruit, chocolate, caramel, nuts, honey - and one pickle, because she really doesn't like that.
  • The levels are fixed. Level 7 will be the same level tomorrow, so a child can do it again.
